The North Branch Café now carries 7 Senchas--it's almost unheard of to have so many cultivars-- and we want to share them with you!
The Japanese people have traditionally kept most of the tea that they harvest for their own consumption. This year we have seen a change in their exports. Along with our very strong relationship with our Japanese distributor, Sugimoto, we are now able to offer this unique opportunity.
Taste the difference between light, medium and deeply steamed Sencha. Learn about the first, second and third steeps and why the steeping times change with each. We will offer samples of each, including 2 Shincha’s (first harvest), and will serve them in the traditional methods.
To properly present these teas to you, we have decided to have our class on a day we are not open to the public. We will have plenty of room and time to get deeply into each tea with you. And plenty of tea to taste.
